Mahoning County Jury Awards $75,900.00 in Damages After a three day trial, a Mahoning County jury on Friday, April 23, 2010 returned a verdict in favor of the Plaintiff for the total sum of $75,900.00. The Plaintiff was represented by Attorney Joe Joseph and was claiming personal injuries and damages resulting from a motor vehicle accident which occurred in May of 2006. The defendant disputed liability for the accident and questioned the cause and extent of the Plaintiff's injuries. Medical bills incurred by the Plaintiff and claimed to be a result of the accident were approximately $25,000.00. The last offer before trial by the insurance company for the Defendant, Nationwide Insurance, was for $25,000.00. The last demand by the Plaintiff was for $75,000.00.

"This another instance where an insurance company, by being unreasonable and difficult to deal with, forced a victim to obtain counsel and seek his remedy in Court." remarked attorney Joseph. The jury verdict was unanimously in favor the plaintiff on all issues presented.
